Christmas! What images do you get when you hear that word? The nativity? A Christmas tree? Gifts? Food? Family? Sketch whatever the word Christmas means to you. You may have multiple images, but make sure you arrange artistically.

Draw a pile of laundry waiting to get washed. Pay attention to the shades and tones of the colours, as well as the lines.

3. Sketchbook activities. The sketchbook assignments will be posted at the beginning of the week.

Choose 1 of the following 2:
1. Variety re-creation
2. Emphasis re-creation
You may submit your assignments by e-mail, or snail mail. All assignments are due at the end of term, but can be submitted at any time during the term.

Take a large jar, and fill it with something. Alternatively, take a jar of something out of your kitchen pantry, or even your bathroom (ie. peanut butter, pickles, face cream, hair gel). Sketch the jar from the top view.
